What we do.
Closed-cell spray foam insulation on homes, commercial buildings, and 4+ storey rental MURBs. We also advise developers on BC Energy Step Code compliance, FortisBC Commercial New Construction rebate capture, and CMHC MLI Select financing optimization.
We are not a residential renovation contractor. We do not work on condos or strata. We do not chase one-off jobs. Every contract we take is one where measured airtightness and assembled R-value actually matter to the building.
The West Urban story.
EcoSeal works closely with West Urban Developments on rental MURBs across Western Canada. Three buildings under EcoSeal contract so far — 345 units in total: Park Edge Vernon (84 units), Cascara Salmon Arm (140 units), and a 121-unit building in Maple Ridge. The Overlook Victoria (79 units) is a fourth West Urban building in the network, completed by the Gitt SPF crew rather than under EcoSeal contract.
Park Edge came in at 0.20 L/s/m² facade airtightness — among the best wood-frame MURB results on record in BC. The building performed at Step 3 on TEUI by 21%. The rebate that should have gone with that performance, $156,650 from FortisBC's Commercial New Construction program, was left on the table because the paperwork was filed in the wrong order. That gap is why EcoSeal's building performance advisory service exists.
